Obituary of Barbara Kuipers

KUIPERS, Barbara Lee, age 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Born in Paterson, she lived in Hawthorne before moving to Haledon. Barb was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church of Wyckoff where she was active in youth ministries. She is survived by her beloved husband Harold to whom she was married for 44 wonderful years, her son Harold R. and his wife Barbra of Oakland and her daughter Nancy Martin and husband Steve of Wanaque. Also survived by five grandchildren; Kailey, Rebecca, Jarrett, Paige, and Luke, her brother Bruce Steyling and his wife Ruth Ann and their daughters Sabrina and Jennifer of Hawthorne, her step-mother-in-law Betty Tolsma, step-brother-in-laws Bill Bogertman and his wife Wilma, Ken Bogertman and his wife Lorna, step-sister-in-law Nancy Van Harken and her husband Ron, and all their children. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. Following private interment, there will be a memorial service celebrating Barb's life, on Monday, 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Ave. Wyckoff.
