Obituary of Salvatore Isgro

Isgro, Salvatore, age 77 of Franklin Lakes died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Barcellona, Italy and had resided in Mahwah before moving to Franklin Lakes 19 years ago. Sal was a parishioner of St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, Woodland Park. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 11, Livingston, NJ and the Franklin Lakes Senior Group. Prior to his retirement in 1998, Sal was an Program Manager with Raytheon Company, Mahwah, NJ. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Salvatore is survived by his loving wife, Stella (nee Eid-Sabbagh) Isgro of Franklin Lakes, a son, Carl Isgro and his wife Kathy (nee Naish) of West Milford, a daughter, Vera Tice and her husband, William Tice, Jr. of Carlisle, MA. Three grandsons: Zachary, Justin and Mackenzie Isgro and three granddaughters: Felicity Isgro and Lauren and Catherine Tice. Salvatore is also survived by his two sisters, Fortunata Santangelo of Riverdale, NJ and Annette Vogt of Wanaque, NJ. Three brothers, Luciano Isgro of Little Ferry, NJ, Arturo Isgro of Ringwood, NJ and Tindero Isgro of Melbourne, FL. He was predeceased by his parents Carlo and Venera (nee Alesci), a brother, Joseph Isgro and a nephew, Ralph Santangelo. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Melkite Catholic Church, 802 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ 07652. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Salvatore's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bergen Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
