Obituary of Irene Sikkema

SIKKEMA, Irene (Spaak) age 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Wayne. Irene was born in Paterson on March 14, 1923 and lived in Glen Rock for many years. She worked as a secretary for Investors Diversified Service in Fair Lawn, NJ followed by a career in Health assistance to the elderly. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Laura and her husband Salvatore Borrelli of Franklin Lakes and Sandra and her husband Bruce Wessel of Bayville, NJ. Irene also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Chelsea and Douglas Wessel, and her brothers, Albert and Pater Spaak both of New Port Richey, FL. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2008, beginning at 7:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
