Obituary of George Hassan

HASSAN, George A., Sr. age 61, died peacefully at his home in Waldwick on Monday, May 5, 2008. George was born in Belleville, NJ on September 23, 1946. He lived in Newark before moving to Waldwick 32 years ago. George worked for Three County Volkswagen in Lyndhurst, the Paul Miller Group in Parsippany and more recently was a Leasing Manager for Queensboro Leasing in Ridgewood. He was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. Surviving is his loving wife of 37 years, Clare (nee Foster), his devoted children, George A., Jr. and his wife Julia of Mendham, NJ, Christine Hassan of San Francisco, CA, and Keith and his wife Lauren of Morris Plains. George also leaves his adoring grandchildren, Aidan, Caitlin and Gavin, his brothers and sisters, Bernard, Mary, Margaret, Ned and Ronald, and 4 nieces and 3 nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 8:45 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 9:30 am at St. Luke's R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Tpk., Ho-Ho-Kus. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Visiting is Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
