Obituary of David O'Shea
O'SHEA
David T., 83, of Midland Park, died on Friday, May 16, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in New York City, David lived in Edgewater and Hillsdale before moving to Midland Park 7 years ago.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Beverly, his six children: Kevin (Gina) O'Shea of Ramsey, Kerry (Donald) Low of Oradell, Kathleen (Michael) Macre of Colorado, Kimberly (John) DeGasperis of Sparta, David (Kathleen) O'Shea of Ridgewood and Sheila (James) Criscione of Paramus; and his 16 grandchildren: Kevin & Kylan O'Shea, Kaitlin, Timothy, Megan and Brian Low, Michaela & Alex Macre, Jessica, John & Kasey DeGasperis, Connor, Nolan & Lilah O'Shea, Caile & James Criscione. David was predeceased by sister Maureen Fuchs.
David was a Banker for Crossland Saving Bank in Brooklyn. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 116, Farrel Huber Post in Edgewater and a member of the VFW Post 15031 in Edgewater.
Visiting hours are Monday 4-8 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass is Tuesday, 11:00 am at St. Anne's Church, 15-05 Saint Anne St., Fair Lawn, NJ. Entombement will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
