Obituary of Marie Kasarda
Kasarda, Marie Theresa, age 86 of Oakland died Friday, April 25, 2014. Born in New York she lived in Oakland and Manchester, NJ before recently moving to Wyckoff. Marie was a 1946 graduate of St. Patrick's Cathedral High School, New York City. Before her retirement she worked for Ramapo Indian Hill School System, Oakland, NJ. Marie is a parishioner of Church of the Nativity, Midland Park and a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Oakland. Surviving are her children, Maryann and her husband Stephen Vecchiotti of Vernon, NJ and Steven and his wife Shana Kasarda of White Plains, NY. Also surviving is her brother, Ferdinand Ilacqua of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Stephen Kasarda in 2001 and her brother, Frank Ilacqua. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass, Tuesday 9:30 am at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect St. Midland Park, NJ. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Mem. Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations to the Christine MacMenamin Memorial Scholarship Fund at The Ursuline School, 1354 North Ave. New Rochelle, NY 10804-2192 would be appreciated
