Obituary of John Gilmour
John B. Gilmour passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. He was 90. Born in Ridgewood he was a long time resident of Midland Park. John served in the U. S. Army during WW II, was a POW in Germany, the recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW Post 7086 in Midland Park and the Allendale rod and gun club. His wife Gladys J. Gilmour died in 2003. Survivors include his four children: Virginia A. Marra (Joseph), John "Jack" W. Gilmour (Mary.Jo), Sue L. Milano (Leo) and Edward J. Gilmour (Sharon); a granddaughter Ann Cantalupo (Anthony) and a grandson John W. Gilmour, Jr. and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Olthuis Funeral Home,(ofhmp.com), 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park. The committal service and interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 21st at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
