Obituary of Bonnie G. Laub
LAUB, Bonnie age 63 of Wyckoff, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 29, 2015 with her husband Ed by her side. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Bonnie lived in Wyckoff for the past 41 years. Bonnie was an accomplished professional musician and teacher, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the Westminster Choir College in 1974. Bonnie was a 1970 graduate of Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale. Throughout her professional career, Bonnie performed internationally with the world-famous Westminster Choir and as a member of the Riverside Church Choir in New York City. Bonnie was the soprano soloist for many years at the Wyckoff Reformed Church, as well as a featured soloist at many churches across the Tri-State area. She served as director of The Wyckoff Reformed Church Nursery School music program for over a decade, and a music teacher at Washington Elementary School in Wyckoff. Additionally, she established and was the director of The Wyckoff Reformed Church Handbell Choir, and the director of the Riverside Church Handbell Choir as well. Bonnie developed an all-women A Cappella group, Sirène. She also taught privately out of her home studio. Surviving are her loving husband of 41 years, Ed, her devoted children: Krystle-Lynn and her husband Josh Stephens, Adam Laub and his wife Joanna and her granddaughter Graceann Laub. Bonnie also leaves her mother, Doris (Voight) Woodworth and her brothers Charles and Robert Woodworth. The Laub family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2:00 until 5:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 am at the Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers: memorial contributions in Bonnie’s name may be made to The Wyckoff Reformed Church Nursery School.
