Obituary of Maxine Mainardi

Maxine Mainardi passed away peacefully at the age of 85 with her loving family by her side on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a resident of Glen Rock and Waldwick. Before retiring, Maxine was Executive Assistant to the President and Benefits Coordinator, Oxford University Press, Fair Lawn, NJ and New York, NY. In retirement, she was Financial Officer, Data Manager, and Invoice Clerk for family businesses. Maxine loved cooking, baking, reading, laughing and crafting; kaleidoscopes, pop-up books, puzzles, games, walks, tea, the beach and sunrises; and spending time with family and friends to whom she was deeply devoted. Maxine was predeceased by her husband Albert, brother Al Pabon, and companion Duffy Danna. Maxine is survived by her daughters: Linda Loken, her husband Ron; Lisa Mainardi, her husband Ian Grodman; grandchildren: Max, Julia, Maya, Carlos; siblings Anthony Pabon, Theresa Pabon, Ann Bauch; and sister-in-law Joyce Pabon. Receiving of Friends will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service to commence at 3:30 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
