Obituary of Joseph Carino

Joseph "Joe" V. Carino, age 89, died peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2007. Born in Paterson, he lived in Ridgewood, and then retired to Sarasota FL for 24 years. He moved to Midland Park two years ago. Joe was a district manager for Prudential Insurance for 36 years until retiring in 1981. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He coached little league baseball in Ridgewood for many years. Joe's love of golf was carried into his retirement. An avid golfer, he shot his age 62 times. He was the former president of Bent Tree Country Club of Sarasota FL. He was a member of the Church of the Palms, Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy to whom he was married for 68 wonderful years. He is also survived by his dear daughter Barbara Dreyer and her husband James of Wyckoff, his son Lawrence of Tampa, FL, his six grandchildren and his four great-grandsons. Friends may visit the family on Monday, 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, 11:00 AM at Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff. Cremation will be private.
