Obituary of John Rabatin

Rabatin, John F. "Duke" age 97 of Bayville, NJ died Sunday, October 24, 2010. Born in Haverstraw, NY, he lived in Demarest, NJ, before moving to Bayville 30 years ago. John was a WW II Army veteran who served from 1941 to 1945. Before his retirement he was a Trucking Dispatcher for Metropolitan Trucking, North Bergen, NJ. John was an usher at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, Bayville for many years. Surviving are his daughters, Jolie Kurz of Midland Park and Maureen and her husband Charlie Moscatello of Oakland. Also surviving is his grandson, Jesse Moscatello. He was predeceased by his wife Madeline (nee Flanagan) Rabatin in 1987. Visiting Wednesday 2-4:30 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass Thursday 10 am at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect St. Midland Park, NJ. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
