Obituary of Richard Egan

EGAN, Richard Joseph, Jr., age 61, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Wilmington, NC. He was born in Queens, NY and resided in Wyckoff, before moving to Wilmington, NC. He was a graduate of Bergen Catholic High School and of the University of Dayton. Richard spent most of his career as a medical supply salesman. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye (nee Layman) of Wilmington, NC, his sister Colleen O'Hara of Toms River, NJ and his brother, Robert Egan of Town & Country, MO. He is also survived by a niece, Kaitlin O'Hara of Breckenridge, CO and two nephews, Jimmy O'Hara of Toms River, NJ and Patrick Egan of Town & Country, MO. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com , 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Prayers will be said on Monday, 9:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, 271 W. Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ.
