Obituary of Alice Colonese

COLONESE, Corless Alice, born into earthly life on the 6th of August 1935, entered into eternal life surrounded by her beloved family on the 13th of September 2010. Born at home in North Bergen, NJ, her early years were spent in West New York, NJ where she graduated and met her husband Frank at Memorial High School. Alice would go on to work for the corporate office of the JC Penny Company in Manhattan. Married to Frank in April of 1958, Alice and Frank would move to Wyckoff and have three daughters, Allyson, Angela and Tricia to whom they devoted their lives. Alice's true life passion was her family, to whom she dedicated her life to being the most extraordinary wife and loving mother. Alice had a remarkable faith and trust in God and a strong belief in spending her life helping others and making the world a better place for all who knew her. She was a former parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church in Wyckoff and a current parishioner of St. Gabriel's R. C. Church in Saddle River. Alice leaves behind her loving husband Frank and her three devoted daughters, Allyson, Angela and Tricia. Left to mourn and too numerous mention are her countless friends and family members; most especially her beloved Aunts, Ginny and Lorrey, her brother Patrick and her sister Colleen. Alice was pre-deceased by her parents, Patrick and Frances. Funeral services will be held Saturday from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff at 11:00 AM. Funeral mass will follow 12 noon at St. Gabriel's R.C. Church, 88 East Saddle River Road, Saddle River. Interment will be in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. Visiting is Thursday 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
