Obituary of Ronald Greig

GREIG, Ronald age 67 of Pompton Lakes formerly of Wyckoff, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock. Ron was born in Paterson and lived in Wyckoff and North Haledon before moving to Pompton Lakes 13 years ago. He was a self-employed building contractor in the Bergen County area. Ron was a member of Sicomac Engine Company #3 where he served as a Deputy Chief. Surviving is his loving wife of 45 years, Carol (nee Crosby), his devoted children, Kim and her husband Ed Boehm of Franklin Lakes, Ronnie Greig of Clifton and Kari and her husband Pat McCarthy of Riverdale. Ron also leaves his 5 grandchildren, Katie, Kerstin, Brandon, Shannon and Maeve, his mother, Edna (nee Strother) of Toms River, his brother Wes Greig and his wife Sue of Midland Park and his sister Edna Greig of Kinnelon. He was pre-deceased by his brother James Greig. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
