Obituary of Bradford Mathews

MATHEWS, Bradford William, age 38, died peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2010. Born in Hackensack he lived in Ramsey and Mahwah before moving to Netcong three years ago. Brad was a branch manager with Kearny Federal Bank in Franklin Lakes. He was an avid helicopter pilot and often flew out of Stewart Air Force Base, NY. Brad loved outdoor activities such as camping, riding his ATV, canoeing and skeet and trap shooting. He loved his vacations including numerous cruises. Of all these wonderful activities in his life, the thing that made them the best was the time it gave him to spend with his friends. Brad is survived by his loving parents William and Margaret Mathews of Hackettstown, his three aunts, one uncle, six cousins, ten second-cousins, and his many friends. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A funeral service will take place on Monday, 11:00 AM at the funeral home followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's, 400 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801, would be appreciated.
