Obituary of Kathleen Pinckney

PINCKNEY, KATHLEEN JULIA, age 10, of Oakland, died July 23, 2010. Surviving are her loving parents Gary and Therese, her cherished sister Jaclyn, and her adoring grandparents Bill and Marge Pinckney and Daniel Egan. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her dog Petey all of whom she loved. Kathleen was predeceased by her grandmother Kathleen Egan for whom she was named after. Kathleen embraced life to the fullest and cherished her family and friends. She brought joy, kindness, and sunshine to every person she met. Kathleen had the purest heart and was an eternal optimist. Her amazing spirit and courage will forever endure until we meet her again in eternity. Kathleen was truly an angel on earth and is now our guardian angel watching over us from heaven. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass is Wednesday, 10:00am at St. Mary's RC Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ. Entombment will be in the Garden of Memories in Washington Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen's name to Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland, NJ 07436.
