Obituary of Ida Segreti

SEGRETI, Ida, 89, Bedford, NH formerly of Upper Saddle River and Mahwah, NJ passed peacefully on Monday, May 24, 2010. Born in Carolei, Italy, Ida moved to New York at the age of three. She attended what is now known as the Fashion Institute and perfected her sewing capabilities. She met her husband Frank in the Bronx and they moved to New Milford, NJ to raise their two sons, Alfred and Thomas, in the peace of the country. After the boys left, they moved to Upper Saddle River and then Mahwah. Ida worked in the Security Department for A & S Department Stores in Paramus for many years and enjoyed entertaining, cooking and visiting with friends and family. She had a good sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Ida was a former parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, Wyckoff, N.J. Surviving is her son and daughter in law, Alfred and Kathryn Segreti of Merrimack, NH, 3 sisters; Mary Sabo of New Milford, Laura Porto of Babylon, NY and Evelyn Virga of Bergenfield, NJ. She adored her grandson, Michael Segreti and her many nieces and nephews. Ida was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 1974 and a son, Thomas in 2008.
