Obituary of Joseph Maggi

Maggi, Joseph age 72 of Waldwick died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at his residence. Born in Centerville, PA he lived in Alpine before moving to Waldwick 33 years ago. Joseph was a Claims Investigator for the State of New Jersey for 20 years before his retirement. He was a member of the North Jersey Antique Bottle Collectors Association and the Barbershop Harmony Society. He was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. Church, Ho Ho Kus, NJ. He was an Army veteran who served from 1959-1964. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Patricia B. Maggi of Waldwick, his children, Kimberly O'Hanlon of Herndon, VA, Lauren Salazar of Clifton and Paul J. Maggi of St. Augustine, FL. Also surviving are his 6 grandchildren and his sister, Madeline Thayer of Peoria, AZ. Visiting Friday 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:15 am at St. Luke's R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Tpk. Ho Ho Kus, NJ. Interment Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer St. Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
