Obituary of Paolo Lopes

Lopes, Paolo, Jr., age 79, of Midland Park, NJ died Saturday, May 15, 2010. Born in Amsterdam, NY he lived in Paterson, NJ before moving to Midland Park 42 years ago. Paolo was the owner and operator of Blu-Rite Cleaners of Fair Lawn, Ringwood and West Milford. He was an Army veteran who served from 1948-1952, where he served in US 7th Army Band, Germany. He was a member of Ramapo Hills Chapel, Mahwah where he served on the Board of Trustees. He also was a member of Local 248, American Federation of Musicians, Care Group of Alternative Medicine of Ridgewood and the Neighborhood Cleaners Association. Surviving is his wife, Therese Anne (Meier) Lopes of Midland Park, his children, Paolo III and his wife Cheryl of Jackson, NJ, Alice and her husband Michael Casazza of Boynton Beach, FL, Therese and her husband Rick Keyser of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Maria and her husband Mike Norcia of Upper Saddle River, NJ. Also surviving are his 7 grandchildren and his 5 brothers and sisters, Rose Cicoria, Gloria Romano, Zina Cipriano, Dina Stagg and Joseph Lopes. He was predeceased by his brother, Nino Lopes. Funeral Service Thursday, 9:00 AM at the Ramapo Hills Chapel, 59 Masonicus Rd, Mahwah, NJ. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ramapo Hills Chapel, 59 Masonicus Rd, Mahwah, NJ 07430 would be appreciated.
