Obituary of Alfred Avella

Avella, Alfred T., age 85, of Midland Park died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. He was born in Paterson, NJ and resided in Minden, NV before moving to Midland Park 2 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Alfred was a Psychologist with the Smithtown School District, Smithtown, NY. He was a member of Church of the Nativity, Midland Park. Surviving is his wife, Alice (nee Cavanaugh) of Midland Park, 2 sons; Thomas J. and his wife, Christine, of Waldwick, NJ and Terence M. and his wife, Nicole, of Chappaqua, NY and 2 brothers; William of Carson City, NV and John of Toms River, NJ. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren; Christian, Nicholas, Justin, Kaitlin, and Hailey Avella.
