Obituary of Matthew Caselnova

CASELNOVA, Matthew E., age 82 of Mahwah, died on Sunday, May 9, 2010. Born in Brooklyn he has lived in Mahwah for the past 37 years. Matthew served in the US Army during the Korean War and received the Bronze Star. Matthew was in the restaurant business for the last 57 years. He is survived by his wife Angelina, his daughter Lisa Lasner and her husband Daniel of Warren, NJ, his sons Matthew A. of Mahwah, and Alan N. of Mahwah, and his grandchildren Andrea and Joseph Lasner. He is also survived by his sisters Marie Ann Caselnova and Lucille Jordan and her husband William, and his brother Ralph Caselnova and his wife Catherine, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother Anthony Caselnova in 2009 and a sister Carolyn Small in 1999. Visiting is Wednesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at the Vander Plat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ, www.vpfh.com. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, 10:00 AM at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey, NJ. Entombment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
