Obituary of Teresa Teegan

TEEGAN, Teresa, age 89 of Wyckoff and formerly of Brick, died Saturday, April 24, 2010. Born in Montgomery, NY, Teresa graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing, and then served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army as a nurse in the European Theater during WWII. Teresa was the beloved school nurse at St. Elizabeth School for 20 years before retiring. Teresa is survived by her loving children, Kathleen and Frederick Schumm, Thomas and Marci Teegan, William and Diane Teegan, Susan Popewiny, James Teegan, and Colleen and Jaime Abribat. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alison, Mary, Katelin, Michael, Kelsey, Kelly, and Suzanne. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William J. Teegan in 2003. Visiting is Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass is Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
