Obituary of Florence Van Harken-Clow

VAN HARKEN-CLOW, Florence Claire (nee Rozema) age 82 of North Haledon, died peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2010 at Hospice of New Jersey in Wayne. Florence was born in Paterson on November 3, 1927. She lived in Prospect Park and Haledon before moving to North Haledon in 1961. Florence worked as a Medical Secretary at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff for more than 40 years before her retirement in 1999. She was a member of the Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church. Surviving is her loving husband of 12 years, Robert C. Clow, her devoted children, William Van Harken and his wife Jeanette of Ada, MI and Pamela and her husband Craig Luebeck of Waldwick. Florence also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Jaclynn, Craig, Todd, William, Jason and Cristina, her great grandchildren, Caitlin, Brecken and Finley and many nieces and nephews. Florence was pre-deceased by her husband William Van Harken in 1995, her brothers Richard and John and her sisters, Grace Shideler and Bertha Fortuin. Friends may visit with the Van Harken-Clow Family on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. A private graveside service will be held at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Health Care Center, 301 Sicomac Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
