Obituary of Shirla Stansfield

Stansfield, Shirla (nee Williams), age 76, of Glen Rock, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Born in New York, NY, she lived in Ramsey, NJ before moving to Glen Rock 46 years ago. Shirla was a member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ridgewood where she was a former choir member. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Bucknell University in 1955. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she was employed by Westside Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood as a Nursery School Teacher for 20 years. Surviving is her husband, Calvin of Glen Rock, NJ a daughter, Lynn Stansfield of Pompton Plains, NJ, a son and daughter in law, David and Laura Stansfield of Point Pleasant, NJ and her 3 grandchildren; Andrew, Eric and Kristen Stansfield. Also surviving is a sister and brother in law, Vicki and Angelo Morizzo of Hawthorne, NJ and a brother and sister in law, Brooke and Eleanor Williams of Bald Head Island, NC. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas T. Stansfield on June 26, 2002. The family will receive friends on Sunday 2-5 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A memorial service will be held Monday, 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ.
