Obituary of Alfred Cipolletti

Cipolletti, Alfred F. age 88, died January 17, 2010. Born and raised in Paterson, he was the son of the late Virginia Spagnuolo and Pellegrino Cipolletti. Alfred was employed at Raybestos Manhattan in Passaic for 33 years and at Northwest Bergen Utilities in Waldwick for 14 years before retiring as Supervisor in 1988. During World War II Alfred proudly served his country in the Navy aboard PT Boats in the Pacific theatre, and is the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. Alfred was honored to serve as Grand Marshall in the 2004 Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade. He has been a resident of Wyckoff since 1956 and a member of St Elizabeth Church having served for many years in its pre-cana ministry. Alfred was also a member of the Wyckoff Senior Citizens Club and PT Boaters, Inc. Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Veronica (nee Lerro); three children, Michael of Pt. Pleasant Beach, Alfred and his wife Christina of West Virginia, and Veronica of Wyckoff; four granddaughters, Alicia and Laura Cipolletti of West Virginia, and Natalie and Anne Marie Davies of Wyckoff; two nieces, Judith Cipolletti of Ledgewood, and Joan Ellen Riley and her husband James of Elmwood Park; one aunt, Mary Cipolletti of Wayne. He was predeceased by a brother, Basile, of Paterson, and a sister, Emily Leogrande, of Elmwood Park Visiting, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com , 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass Monday 10 am at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Interment Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to PT Boaters, Inc., P.O. Box 38070, Germantown, Tennessee, 38183-0070, will be appreciated.
