Obituary of Walter Teubner

Teubner, Walter C. age 63 of Franklin Lakes, NJ died Saturday, January 2, 2009. Born in Montclair, he grew up in Franklin Lakes and was a member of the Franklin Lakes United Methodist Church. He graduated from Ramapo High School and Rockland College. Walter was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army, 3rd Armored Division, Europe serving from 1967 till 1973 and remained in Pohlheim, Germany before moving back to the United States. He was the Vice President of Friedrich-Kurz International Shipping and Moving Co. of Giessen, Germany for over 20 years. He was a member of the European Rod and Gun Club, and served as a Conservation Forestry Ranger. Surviving is his son, Walter D. Teubner of Pohlheim, Germany, his sister, JoAnne Teubner-Prussak and her husband Fred Prussak of Cranford, his brother, William A. Teubner and his family of West Milford, NJ. Also surviving are his nieces and nephew, Karen Prussak, Krista Doran, Kevin Teubner and Christina Teubner. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2009 at 4 pm at the United Methodist Church of Summit, 17 Kent Place Blvd, @ DeForest Ave. Summit, NJ 07901. Private burial with Military honors will be held at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the United Methodist Church of Summit.
