Obituary of Thomas Farrell

Farrell, Thomas E. age 99 of Waldwick died Thursday, December 17, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived in Paramus before moving to Waldwick in 1955. Before his retirement, he was an accountant for The Bendix Corp of Teteboro for 15 years. He attended 1st Presbyterian Church of Ramsey. He was a member and former president of Activities Unlimited in Wyckoff and he worked out at The Edge in Ramsey until his 99th year. Tom was admired for his independent spirit, sense of humor, integrity, and pragmatism. He credits his longevity to his children and devoted friends. Surviving are his loving children, Gail Farrell of Ramsey and Dr. Warren Farrell and his wife Elizabeth Dowling of Mill Valley, CA. Also surviving are his two grandchildren, Erin and Alexandria Blanchard. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Muriel Farrell, in 1967 and his 2nd wife, Lydia Farrell, in 2006 and his son Wayne William Farrell in 1976. Visiting hours, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11 am at the Funeral Home. Private Cremation will be held.
