Obituary of John Lifrieri

LIFRIERI, John Anthony, age 82 of Washingtonville, NY, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009. John was born in Manhattan and lived in Toms River until moving to Washingtonville 5 years ago. He was in the Army during World War II. He was an Operating Engineer with Operating Engineers Local 15 in New York City. He is survived by his loving wife Therese, his 10 children, his 25 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. John is predeceased by his daughter Therese, and his grandson John Jr. Visiting hours are Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481, www.vpfh.com. Funeral mass is Friday, 9:30 am at St. Luke's RC Church, 340 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
