Obituary of Louis Sisler

SISLER, Louis Andrew, Sr., 92, of Glen Rock, formerly of Hawthorne and Brielle, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 19. Born and raised in Canal Fulton, Ohio, he graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He moved to New Jersey to serve as a propulsion engineer with Wright Aeronautical during World War II. A man of many talents, he then had successful careers in heavy equipment consulting and as a restaurateur. An avid outdoorsman, he was a longtime member of the Marathon Yacht Club and the Wing and Shot Hunt Club. Louis is survived by three devoted children: Ruth Sisler Morine and husband David of Great Falls, VA, Drew Sisler and wife Sophie of Glen Rock and Helen S. Szymanski and husband Jack of Glen Rock. He was a supportive and nurturing grandfather to his six grandchildren: Deven, Kathryn and Cameron Sisler, and Matthew, Helen, and William Szymanski. He is also survived by a niece, Carol Sisler Smith, and husband Steve of Canal Fulton. Funeral services are private.
