Obituary of Sikke Luth

LUTH, Sikke "Sid", age 91 died on Friday, June 19, 2009. Born in Zuidhorn, Holland, he came to the US in 1947 and lived in Glen Rock until moving to the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon in 2001. While in Holland Sid was a gym and gymnastics teacher. He owned Green-A-Lawn Lawn Service in Prospect Park until he retired in 1983. Sid was a member of Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, in Ridgewood for over 40 years and was currently a member of the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. He is survived by his children Marianne Sanfilippo of Wayne,NJ, Betty Joy Sall of Hudsonville, MI, Robert Luth of Lake Mary, FL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Maria in 2003 and his son Sidney in 2008. Visiting hours are Monday 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Funeral service is Tuesday 10:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
