Obituary of Mario J Perillo

Mario J. Perillo, age 86, of Ridgewood, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at The Valley Hospital, with his family by his side.  Mario was born in New York City and had been a resident of Franklin Lakes before moving to Ridgewood.  He was a parishioner of the Church of the Presentation and earlier, Most Blessed Sacrament RC Church. Mario had a lengthy career in finance with IBM in Franklin Lakes and most recently he was a consultant for Prodo-Pak.  Remembered as a wonderful coach and lover of sports, you could always find him cheering on his children and later his grandchildren, in all of their activities. Mario leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 53 years, Pat, his dear children; Donna Durvasula and her husband, Tesh of Cos Cob, CT and Rick Perillo and his wife, Anna of Fairfield, CT along with his sister Dolores Graham of Englishtown, NJ.  Also surviving to carry on Mario’s legacy are his five grandchildren; Nicholas, Jack and Thomas Durvasula and Alexa-Rose and Jordan Perillo.  Mario also leaves behind an extended family.  This includes his brother in law, Ed Kane and his wife, Rita, his two nephews; Ed Kane and his wife, Erin and their two sons, Eddie and Ian along with Michael Graham and his wife Paula, as well as many friends.  Mario was predeceased by his parents, Fiore and Assunta Perillo and his brother in law, Donald Graham.  Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 3:30 – 7:30 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458.
