Obituary of James J. Patete, Jr.

Patete, James Jr., age 85 of Waldwick died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his home.  Born in Jersey City he lived in Hackensack for 30 years before moving to Waldwick.

Before his retirement Jim was a Mail Carrier for the Westwood Post Office for 30 years.   After that he worked for CJ Lombardo Co.  Hackensack, NJ. 

He was a Parishioner of St. Luke’s RC Church, Ho-Ho-Kus and also served as a United State Marine. 

Surviving are his two sons, Raymond Patete and his wife Barbara of Midland Park and James J. Patete III of Hackensack.  Also surviving are his two grandchildren, Petrina and Derrick.   He was predeceased by his wife Patricia in 2015.

Visiting Sunday 2-5 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.   Funeral Mass Monday 11 am at St. Luke’s RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpk. Ho Ho Kus, NJ.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
