Obituary of Janet H. Borst

Janet H. Borst, age 97, of Toms River, died Thursday, February 1, 2018.  Born in Paterson, Janet lived throughout Bergen and Passaic counties, before moving to New Port Richie, FL in 1975.  She moved to Toms River, NJ 15 years ago.

Janet was a life-long Domestic Engineer.   She was an active member of the Union Reformed Church, Franklin Lakes and the Palm Grove Reformed Church, New Port Richie, Florida.  In recent years, she attended The Presbyterian Church of Toms River, NJ.

Janet is survived by her 3 sons: Hugo John, Jr. of Pompton Lakes, Ronald and Dorothy of Toms River, and Allan and his wife Debra of Toms River, her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Hugo J. Borst Sr. in 2015 and her 2 daughters-in-law, Sheryl and Linda.

Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.  Funeral Service, Wednesday, 11am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
