Obituary of Thomas Newton

Thomas A. Newton, age 68 of Wyckoff died Tuesday, January 9, 2018.  Born in Jersey City, NJ he was a longtime resident of Wyckoff.   Prior to his retirement in 2012, Thomas had spent his career as the Chief Financial Officer of various concerns, including Amboy Aggregates and Hekemian & Co.

Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer Newton, his former wife, Jayne Newton, his brother, Richard Newton and his wife Claire, his nephew Mark Newton  and his niece, Jaclyn Easton and her husband Jacob.  Thomas was predeceased by his brother, Robert Newton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.  A Prayer Service will be held at 5 pm.  Private cremation will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas’ memory may be made to Beagle Freedom Project (beaglefreedomproject.org) or Saint Peter’s Preparatory School (spprep.org).
