Obituary of Gregory LaCava

Gregory LaCava, age 69 of Franklin Lakes, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 with his wife and several friends by his side.  He was born in Paterson, NJ and had resided in Fair Lawn before moving to Franklin Lakes 35 years ago.  Prior to his retirement, Gregory was a Crane Operator with Local 14-14B in Queens, NY.  Gregory was a first responder at Ground Zero where he spent several weeks assisting with the rescue and recovery process.  Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Rachelle LaCava of Franklin Lakes, NJ.  He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Florence LaCava and his brother, Edward LaCava.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.  A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2017, 9:30 am, St. Anne RC Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
