Obituary of Bernard Walter Tolsma

Tolsma, Bernard Walter, age 83 of Hawthorne went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, Born in Wyckoff, Bernie, the son of a minister, grew up in Michigan and North Dakota before settling in northern New Jersey.  He was the owner of Reiner Air Conditioning and Heating in Fairlawn for over 40 years. Bernie was a member of the Faith Community Church in Wyckoff where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He was very active with the Luke Society, traveling to Honduras on several occasions. Surviving is his beloved wife of 59 years, Muriel (nee Kuiken), his devoted children, Bernie and his wife Rena and Beverly and her husband Steve Hulsebos. He also leaves his 13 adoring grandchildren, Mike, Diane, Bill, Mimi, Jenna, Phil, Mary, Andrew v.d.M, Andrew, Amy, Mark, Kristen and Devin, and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters, Gertrude, Janet, Carol, and Sharon. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Faith Community Church, 530 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. Interment is private in the Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery.
