Obituary of Richard J. Fellinger

Richard J. Fellinger (“Big Guy”), 77, of Franklin Lakes, passed away at Villa Marie Claire after a 10 month battle with cancer, having his wife, Stella of almost 34 years at his bedside on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.  He was an active parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes.

 

Born in Montclair to Katharine Carle and Philip Fellinger, Richard lived in Franklin Lakes for 33 years.  He retired from Mechtronics Corp in Beacon, NY due to his illness.

 

Richard was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Joseph and Philip, Jr., and sister Teresa Davidson.  He will be missed by his beloved wife Stella, his sons William Alexander of Allendale, and Richard, Jr. and Linda Fellinger of Austin, Texas, and his three beautiful grandchildren, Luke, Nathan and Sophie. He will be missed by his sister Marla Balcerski and her husband Alex of Egg Harbor Twp, his brothers: Kevin and Jamie of New Providence, NJ, and John of Ridgewood, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ.   Internment Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
