Obituary of Marie Scherb

Marie M. Scherb, 91, of Wyckoff, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.  Born in  Paterson,  Marie lived in Paterson before moving to Wyckoff in 1950.  She was a secretary for Forman & Company Real Estate and Insurance in Ridgewood for 10 years until she retired.  Marie was also a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgewood.

She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband Lawrence Schumann of Wyckoff, daughter-in-law Bernice Satriano and her husband James of Redding, CT, her four grandsons: Clifford Scherb and his wife Kimberly, Matthew Schumann and his wife Alexandra, Ryan Scherb and his wife Kristen and Michael Schumann and his wife Christy, her granddaughter, Stefanie Sengle and her husband Tim and her 8 great grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband Eugene “Rudy” Scherb in 2006, her son David Scherb in 2009.

The family will receive friends on Friday 6 - 8 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.  Victory service will be held on Saturday, 10:00 am at the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory can be made to the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
