Obituary of Marcia "Gail" Russo

Russo, Marcia “Gail”, age 67 died Friday, May 19, 2017.  Gail was born in York, Nebraska and had been a resident of North Haledon for over 46 years. Gail was a member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ridgewood where she had been active in many groups in the church over the years. Prior to her retirement, Gail was a Nursery School Teacher at Holy Cross Lutheran School, Mahwah, NJ.   She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Darren Hall of North Haledon, two brothers; Skip Swanson and his wife, Mary of Pearl River, NY and Gary Swanson of Central City, Nebraska and two grandsons; Justin Kenny and Dylan Hall.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Gail was predeceased by her devoted husband, Angelo Russo, Jr. on March 21, 2009. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave.  Wyckoff, NJ.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ.  The interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.   As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations in Marcia’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Nursery School, 125 Glasgow Terrace, Mahwah, NJ 07430 or Mt.
