Obituary of Victoria Faith Heerema

Heerema, Victoria Faith “Vicky” (nee Rath) age 45 of Hawthorne passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. Born in Pequannock, Vicky lived in Wayne before moving to Hawthorne in 2002.  Vicky served on the Executive Board of the PTO for Jefferson School in Hawthorne.  She attended the Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff.  Surviving is her loving husband Stephen, the light of her life, her son Joshua and her faithful companion Rocky.  She also leaves her mother, Maureen Rath, her father, Charles Rath, her sister, Stephanie and her husband Lenny DiGena, her mother-in-law, Elaine Heerema, her sister-in-law, Nancy Fenners and her husband, Chris Altieri, and her nieces and nephews, Daniela, Domenico, Amanda, Harrison and Alexa.  The Heerema family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11th, 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.  Funeral services will be private on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vicky’s name to: Bethany Christian Services, 12-19 River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 or Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 830 Broad Street, Suite 2, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.
