Obituary of Janet Olthuis

OLTHUIS, Janet (nee Hazen) 96 of North Haledon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Born in Paterson, Janet lived in Midland Park most of her life before moving to Wyckoff briefly and then to the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon in 2002. She was a long time member of the Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park. Surviving are her children, Lynn and her husband James Walti of Paso Robles, CA, Jane Olthuis of Hoschton, GA and J.H. “Jack” Olthuis and his wife Yvonne of Cape May Court House, NJ. Janet also leaves her four grandchildren, Christopher, Elise, Jamie and Garrett and her great granddaughter, Breanna. She was pre-deceased by her husband John H. Olthuis in 2007. A private graveside service will be held at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers; Memorial contributions may be made in Janet’s name to one of her cherished causes, Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat, 700 Mountain Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
