Obituary of Gertrude Schipper

Schipper, Gertrude “Trudy”, of Wyckoff went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Trudy was born in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of Samuel and Radea Schuil and had resided in Hawthorne before moving to Wyckoff 52 years ago. She was a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Wyckoff. Trudy was a homemaker who dedicated her time to raising and caring for her family. Trudy is survived by her loving husband, Richard “Dick” of Wyckoff and five children: Wayne Schipper and his wife, Cheryl of Wyckoff, Wendy Van Grouw and her husband, Ray of Wantage, Warren Schipper of Wantage, Sharon Berry and her husband Al, of Wantage and Peter Schipper and his wife, Adina of Pequannock. Trudy is also survived by her 21 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Peter Schuil. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 – 6 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 11 am at the funeral home with the interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus.
