Obituary of Joseph M. Mastrogiacomo

Mastrogiacomo, Joseph, age 82, of Waldwick, died on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016. Joseph was born in the Bronx and moved his family to Waldwick, NJ in 1967. Joseph attended Fordham Preparatory School and Fordham University in Bronx, NY. He was a US Army veteran having served from 1956 until 1958. He was a Vice President for the Bank of New York for twenty-three years. He was a proud member of the Waldwick Lions Club for 40 years and was happiest playing the part of Santa Claus for the residents of Waldwick for 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette (Florio), and their four adoring children: Michael and his wife Patty, and their three children - Nina and her husband Marco Chiabo, Nadine and Joseph; Mary Jo and her husband Joseph D’Annibale and their four children - Danielle and her husband Bryan Keinz, Amanda, Joseph and Nicholas; JoAnn and her husband Joseph Granatell, and their three children - Lindsay and her husband Kevin Brady and their daughter Kyla, Matthew and Nikki; John and his wife Patti, and their two children - Jaimie and Carly. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Angelina Mastrogiacomo, his brother Pat, his sister Katie, and his brothers-in-law Rocco Florio and Joseph Ferretti. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, from 4-8pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13 at 10am at the Church of Saint Luke, 340 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph’s memory to Tomorrow’s Children Foundation, www.tcfkid.org, or Saint Luke’s Church, www.churchofstluke.org.
